Smithtown Township Arts Council and St. James Model Railroad Club will hold their Annual Holiday Open House Weekend Friday, Dec 1 (6 – 9 PM), Saturday, Dec 2 (11 AM – 5 PM), Sunday, Dec 3 (11 AM – 5 PM) at the Mill Pond House in St James. The weekend will feature the annual open house of the St. James Model Railroad Club, a Fine Art Showcase and Holiday Market featuring Die- cast models, collectible dolls, jewelry and more.

Our driveway is directly across from the two white stone pillars. Admission to the train display is by donation to the St. James Model Railroad Club: Adults $2.00, Children 50¢. Please note: The St. James Model Railroad Club train display is not handicap accessible.
Steam engines puff smoke and "chuff" with the recorded sound of a real steam engine in synchronism with the wheels. Diesel engines also sound like the real thing, and passenger trains make station announcements. Children of all ages will enjoy the sights and sounds of this impressive model railroad display!
The St. James Model Railroad Club presents a 38’ X 48’ O scale train layout, the result of 34 years of continuing improvements, represents Railroading from the Age of Steam to Present Day with many freight and passenger trains running simultaneously in a scenic, imaginative setting.
