Summer Art Classes at Mills Pond Gallery...a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their creativity within the colorful and vibrant surroundings of a contemporary art gallery. Open to children of all experience levels. Always new projects for students taking multiple weeks/same classes! All classes will run with minimum 5 students.

Art Adventure in Painting and Drawing August 20 – 24 Ages 7-10 9 am – 12 pm $190 Full Day Available This exciting class has something for everyone! We will explore a different technique and material each day! We will develop our observational skills and find inspiration for our projects in the gallery and outside in nature. Our technical skills will be expanded by experimenting with pastels, pen and ink, watercolor and more! Instructor: Kim Falco
Art and Artist August 20 – 24 Ages 7-10 1 – 4 pm $190 Full Day Available Learning about famous artist can be fun and even more exciting when we create art in the same style that the artist did! In this class we will learning about Vincent Van Gogh and paint our own Starry Night, explore Monet’s Garden and even create a Cubist portrait like Pablo Picasso! Instructor: Kim Falco
Painting Flowers August 20-22 Ages 5-7 1 – 4 pm $125 Painting large scale flowers in the style of Georgia O’Keefe. Little Artists will learn about this Master artist and paint large scale flowers from observation. Instructor: Patricia Caracappa
Stitchin’ Time August 20-22 Ages 8-11 9 am – 12 pm $125 Learn to sew! Students will learn techniques in hand stitching to make an assortment of fun masterpieces. A wide array of supplies will be used to create; including beautiful fabrics, buttons and sequins. We will also learn to hand dye and make our very own fabric design! A must for any young designer. All materials included. Instructor: Irene Tetrault
Fashion and the Figure - Learn how to draw both! August 20 – 24 Ages: 11-14 $190 9 am - 12 pm or 1 - 4 pm or Full Day Learn how the fashion figure is drawn in the professional industry! In the mornings, students will create completed fashion illustrations using a variety of drawing and painting materials. Different eras of fashion will be covered, and each student is encouraged to develop their own style. In the afternoons, explore figure drawing, learning how to draw exciting poses and actual people in front of you! Students will choose to develop their fashion illustrations or focus solely on their figure drawings. This class is designed for each student to identify and explore their own interests within fashion and drawing people from life. Instructor: Krista Biedenbach
Let’s Draw! Incorporating Photographs August 21 – 24 Ages 11-13 9 am – 12 pm In this class, students will learn how to incorporate photographs and prints into their drawings. Students will be encouraged to use their own photographs and will be shown a variety of techniques and media that they can use to incorporate into their drawings. Instructor: Nicholas Frizalone
