Focus on the Fundamentals in Oils or Acrylics

This session is open to beginners through advanced students and since the class size is limited, the instructor will work with each student on their painting in a relaxed and encouraging environment and demonstrate technique in each class. Each of the ‘fundamental’ exercises will be geared to your level of experience, so no matter if you are a beginner or advanced student, you will benefit from the studies.

Long Island artist Jim Minet lives and maintains a studio on Long Island in New York. Working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, Jim has a particular fascination with watercolor for its' "uncontrollable madness" which allows for fresh and spontaneous work. Jim also likes working with the palette knife and oil for the same reason. Jim studied at The Art Students League in Manhattan and taught drawing and painting at 92Y in Manhattan, NY. He frequently demonstrates painting throughout the East Coast, USA for brands such as Sennelier, Daniel Smith, Fabriano, Silver Brush, Masterpiece Canvas, and others. Jim is a Holbein & Legion brand ambassador.
