Frank Loehr
Frank is a representational oil painter whose work draws on the traditions of classical realism. Entirely self-taught in his early years, Frank later honed his technique through studies at the Nassau County Museum of Art, The Teaching Studios of Art and the Art League of Long Island. His subjects include portraits, landscapes, seacapes and master copies of Old Master paintings, all executed with a deep respect for form, light and atmosphere. He is a veteran and served as a U.S. Army Paratrooper. He approaches painting with a quiet discipline and focus. His work reflects a lifelong dedication to observation, craftsmanship and the enduring beauty of traditional oil painting.
