Lynn Staiano

I am a self-taught landscape artist with a passion for light and shadows. I love painting landscapes, old houses, barns, bridges, charming windows and doors. Places that have been lived in, loved, and forgotten, or lost. I love capturing on canvas that which holds meaning for someone. I started painting during the pandemic and began with acrylics. I have since started working with oils and watercolor as well, and am continually working on my craft through classes, tutorials and challenges. I paint what calls to me, so I never know what will be next on my easel. Everyday is a fresh new experience. I accept landscape and house portrait commissions. Instagram : @CreativedesignsbyLynn

Incorporated in 1972, Smithtown Township Arts Council (STAC) offers a unique combination of historical preservation, cultural promotion, and arts exhibition. The Council has been committed to the arts in Suffolk County for forty-six years, working to provide a creative outlet and the opportunity to experience, investigate, and discover contemporary art and cultural issues which are engaging and relevant to the public's daily lives and civic responsibilities. We believe the arts are indispensable in building good character in the citizens of our communities as they foster communication, offer new insights on the world, and add to the greater appreciation of both life and society.
