About the Juror: Charles Wildbank: Vision Beyond Sound
Charles Wildbank is a celebrated American artist whose photorealistic and visionary paintings transcend the boundaries of silence. Born deaf, Wildbank discovered early on that art was his most powerful form of communication. Educated at Pratt Institute, Yale University, and Columbia University, he has built a distinguished career spanning over five decades. His work includes striking portraits of luminaries like David Hockney and Luciano Pavarotti, as well as monumental murals aboard the Queen Mary 2. Wildbank's art—ranging from serene seascapes to vibrant florals and surreal compositions—invites viewers into a meditative exploration of color, light, and form. Through his brushwork, he offers a visual symphony that resonates deeply, proving that true expression knows no bounds .
