Diane Oliva

 Currently living in Middle Island, Diane was a long time resident of Northport and a graduate of Northport High School. She studied portraiture at the Palau Studio in Northport where she received instruction in the European classical style. Diane went on to study Intaglio Printing at the Joy Jervis Studio in Northport.

 Diane has a diverse art background and travel experience. She studied art history and anthropology in Europe, Russia, India, Egypt, China and Ghana, West Africa. These experiences led her to be invited to jury many art exhibitions on the east coast. She currently teaches Charcoal Drawing and Pastels at Mills Pond Gallery. Past teaching experience includes Drawing, Portraiture and Still Life at the Nassau County Museum of Art and Leesburg Center for the Arts in Florida where she was awarded teacher of the year.
